Prolific Offender gets 10 year CBO!

After extensive collaboration with the Metropolitan Police and our members, we're delighted to share that our most notorious shoplifter has been issued a 10-year Criminal Behavioural Order.

This indiviudal has been offending in Westminster for over a decade, responsible for thousands of pounds worth of stock loss and leaving businesses with a lack of hope in ever addressing his offending.

Safer Business Network identified the indiviudal as being a prolific offender and urged all businesses to promptly report all incidents to our secure intelligence platform ALERT and to the police. Collating all CAD numbers and incident reports associated with his activities, we collaborated closely with local policing teams to secure an Officer in Charge of Investigation.

Following this we provided a detailed MG11 on behalf of the business community to highlight his high levels of offending and advocated for the need of a Criminal Behavioural Order (CBO). We actively encouraged other affected businesses to contribute their own MG11 statements, amplifying the need for further action to be taken.

This 10-year prohibition represents a significant achievement, reinforcing the need to report and that these offences are taken seriously.

One prohibition being he must not enter any premises from which he has previosuly been banned from in writing. Prior to this CBO hearing he was served a Safer Business Exclusion letter bannning him from the hundreds of businesses that we work with in the WestEnd.
