Community Safety Events Across London

Today was another action-packed day for our Central/North London team as we supported two important initiatives aimed at enhancing safety in our partnership areas.

Firstly, a Crime Prevention Stall at King’s Cross Estate
As part of the Three Weeks of Action for Sexual Abuse and Sexual Violence, we co-hosted a Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) awareness stall, offering advice and information on crucial safety topics like:
✔️ The "Ask for Angela" scheme
✔️ How to spot and prevent spiking
✔️ Support for those experiencing domestic abuse
✔️ Phone theft prevention and personal safety tips
We had great conversations with those living, working, and passing through the area, and it was brilliant to have the King’s Cross Neighbourhood Policing Team and our King’s Cross Estate security team on hand to share their expertise.

Secondly, an ASB Engagement & Enforcement in Westminster where we joined forces with Westminster City Council, local TCT police, and MLB for an anti-social behaviour (ASB) operation across Covent Garden, Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Strand.
🚔 More than 10 stops were made as we focused on tackling high-harm offenders and persistent ASB issues in these busy areas.

Partnership Manager Rachelle O'Sullivan said, "Collaboration is key to improving community safety. These initiatives not only help prevent crime but also give people the tools and confidence to look out for one another. Seeing so much engagement from the community and our partners today is great! These initiatives wouldn’t be possible without the dedication of our teams and partners - huge thanks to everyone involved!"
