Safe Havens

Our towns & cities are safe but too many women feel unsafe in a public place.

Becoming a Safe Haven is a practical way for businesses to let people know that a form of support is easily available if they need help.

The definition of a Safe Haven is –

"A place of temporary refuge for a person to facilitate their onward journey by providing a friendly face and reassurance, allow the individual to charge their phone, call a taxi, contact family/friends, wait for, or signpost to transport".

Safer Business Network has developed a grassroots training program which aims to improve the skills, knowledge, and confidence of learners in identifying vulnerability and making appropriate interventions to support the delivery of a Safe Haven. This includes a short video to help you and your staff do the right thing & show how a simple intervention can make all the difference.

If you are a business in Lambeth & Soutwark, and would like to become a Safe Haven please get in contact.

We also offer our Safer Haven training programme as a 'Train the Trainer' Package, where we will guide you through the skills and knowledge to train your own staff, secuirty and business community. All our ready made assets are included.

Please get in contact to find out more & become a Safe Haven today.
