Safer Business Network Receives National Accreditation

The team at Safer Business Network is delighted and proud to share that we have successfully achieved BCRP accreditation under the newly revised National Standards Accreditation.

This milestone is on behalf of all our members and partners as much as it is for our team. Thank you to every business that shares intelligence, attends briefings, takes part in training, and backs collective action. And a huge thank-you to all the BIDs and landowners we work alongside and represent, our security partners and managing agents, and the high streets, night-time economy venues and shopping centres who collaborate with us so consistently to make this possible.

Hannah Wadey, CEO, said: “This accreditation reflects the hard work of our team and partners, recognising the rigour of our management, the strength of our intelligence processes, and the impact our partnerships deliver every single day alongside our business community. With the Metropolitan Police updated data-sharing agreement now linking intelligence sharing to accredited partnerships, this accreditation is a significant step forward for safer communities and stronger, trusted collaboration”.

The National Association of Business Crime Partnerships (NABCP), who conduct the accreditation process said: “Huge congratulations to Safer Business Network – the first BCRP in London to achieve accreditation under the newly revised BCRP National Standards Accreditation! A truly well-deserved milestone that reflects the team’s dedication to raising standards, strengthening partnerships and supporting safer communities.
This achievement is especially significant as the Metropolitan Police’s new data-sharing agreement now means information will only be shared with accredited BIDs and BCRPs.
SBN’s impact continues to grow — working across half of all London boroughs, representing 20,000 businesses, three police forces, 19 BIDs, as well as high streets, landowners and shopping centres.”

The Safer Business Network team were joined by partners from the Metropolitan Police and the Shaftesbury Capital security team as they were presented the accreditation by Sophie Jordan, CEO of NABCP and Lisa Peretta, Chair of NABCP.
