West End Pubwatch Success
Our Westminster team organised an incredible Pubwatch meeting for licensed venues in the West End this week. A total of 75 individuals attended the meeting, which was fantastic to see. It's great to have so many venues coming together from London's most vibrant nighttime economy areas.
We would like to extend our thanks to all the key speakers who attended. Here's a brief summary of what was discussed:
- Counter Terrorism Policing: We received an insightful presentation on counter-terrorism measures, reinforcing our commitment to security. Vigilance and preparedness matter more than ever.
- Safer Business Network: Senior officer Taylor Jade Mann and Partnership Manager Rachelle O'Sullivan demonstrated our work to target the most prolific and persistent offenders in the Night Time Economy, as well as new training available for venues.
- Local SNT & WEPPT Police: Discussions on crime prevention measures, current crime trends, and support over the coming months.
- Pride in London: The Pride in London presentation discussed plans for the parade, information for venues, and local area events.
- Police Licensing: Discussions around Pride and Euros, supporting venues in balancing safety and celebration.
- Westminster City Council: Updates on current projects such as pedi-cabs, illegal street trading, Pride, and community safety.
