Safer Business Network Welcomes New Minister for Policing and Crime – Sarah Jones MP

We welcome the appointment of the new Minister for Policing and Crime, Sarah Jones MP,  and hope she will continue to focus on the crime priorities that matter most to our business members and communities:

  • Tackling violence against women and girls (VAWG)
  • Reducing retail crime and protecting shopworkers
  • Addressing serious violence and theft
  • Building safer town centres and high streets

At Safer Business Network, we see first-hand the challenges faced in both the day and night-time economy. Through our partnerships with local authorities, police teams, Business Improvement Districts, and businesses, we are delivering practical solutions on the ground, from intelligence sharing to targeted operations and training.

Hannah Wadey, CEO, Safer Business Network:
“We look forward to working with the new Minister to ensure crime remains at the top of the agenda. Our strength lies in bringing businesses, police and local partners together to tackle the issues that matter most, from violence and theft to crime in our day and night-time economies. By working locally and nationally, we can build safer, stronger communities”
